Why Nobody Buys Nestle Stock

Nestle is the largest food conglomerate in the world, with a huge international presence and hundreds of recognizable consumer brands. The company is publically traded and its stock has preformed incredibly well over the past 15 years, growing from $25 per share to $123.

And yet, nobody ever recommends Nestle as an investment.

Coca Cola, Pepsi, Campbell's Soup, and Hormel are all commonly recommended food stocks. And many of these are also touted as fantastic international companies, or must-have dividend stalwarts.

Nestle is international too, and it also pays a dividend with yields comparable to Coca Cola or Pepsi.

So why don’t people like this stock or recommend it?

There are actually two large issues with Nestle stock. And both of these issues drive a lot of investors away

Nestle Dividend Payout Frequency

Most companies pay their dividends on a quarterly basis. If you own Coca Cola stock, for example, you receive four payouts a year.

Nestle stock doesn’t do this. Instead, shareholders are paid once a year.
