Sometimes good investments are obvious. Case in point, Waste Management, Inc. ($WM). This is a business most Americans deal with on a weekly basis when they take out their trashcans.
For the unfamiliar, Waste Management operates garbage trucks and landfills.
Waste Management is North America’s largest waste solutions provider. They operate in 47 states as well as six Canadian provinces. And the company has a monopoly on trash collection in many states and cities.
Because of this, Waste Management stock has outperformed the S&P 500 over the long-term.
