Stocks are down and investors are panicking.

The economy’s never been worse!

America has never been more divided!

And global tensions have never been higher!

Which is why today’s article highlights three businesses that have seen it all. These three companies have survived, and thrived, during some of the darkest periods in modern history: World War Two, The Great Depression, and even the U.S. Civil War.

Despite the turbulence, each company continued to reward shareholders.

And all three of these business should continue to do so well into the far-future.

1. The Coca-Cola Company ($KO)

Beverage giant Coca-Cola paid its first dividend in 1920.

And, the company has paid uninterrupted dividends ever since.

While Coca-Cola is a great company, it’s stock performance is anemic. The company delivered an average annual total return of just 7.50% over the past decade — significantly underperforming the S&P 500.

That said, this is a stable dividend-payer with a fairly high starting yield.
