High-yield, stable dividend stocks.

That’s what we’re looking at today. Specifically, stocks and sectors paying 4%+ in starting dividends. With some businesses going as high as 27% — in an essential sector, nonetheless!

Without further ado, let’s dive in!

1. Oil And Gas (Ecopetrol, Suncor Energy)

Energy companies are often easy to evaluate. And that’s simply because you can look at how much it costs the business to produce oil, compared to oil’s current market price.

Low production costs means larger profits when oil prices are high.

Low production costs also create a margin of safety, allowing the company to remain profitable even if oil prices fall or trade flat.

Galp Energia is the lowest cost producer that I know of, with production costs around $25 per barrel. This is great. But there are other, larger oil producers with similar profit margins.

Suncor Energy operates in the United States and Canada, and they have low production costs of around $20 — $28 per oil barrel.

The company has a starting dividend yield of 4.76%, a 5-year compound annual dividend growth rate of 7.10%, and a safe payout ratio…
