How I’m Building My Second YouTube Channel
YouTube is monetizing their Shorts program early next year, giving you a massive opportunity to profit off 60-second video content.
While my main Shorts account generates millions of views per month, I’ve recently decided to branch out and build an additional channel. Here’s everything I learned the first time, helping you get a head start on your own YouTube side-hustle.
Entertainment Vs Information
The entertainment field has a far larger audience than anything educational or informative.
Likewise, entertainment content is significantly easier to create.
Off the top of my head, here are three low-cost YouTube Shorts ideas that could easily generate 1–3 million views per month:
- Cracking geodes open.
- Panning for gold (there are actually companies that sell bags of paydirt from real goldmines).
- Playing crane or capsule vending machine games. My local mall has a Pokemon themed capsule game (yes, the capsules look like Pokeballs) and I’m tempted to start a third channel based around this.
Entertainment content doesn’t need high production value, or scripting.
