5 Things I Learned While Visiting Paraguay

I can’t. And I’m in the country right now, writing this article!
Anyway, Paraguay is one of those obscure countries nobody ever thinks about. Which is why I was excited to visit. Here are five fun and interesting facts I learned about the country!
1. You Can Walk Across The Border (No ID Needed)
The Friendship Bridge connects the Brazilian city of Foz do Iguacu to the Paraguayan city of Ciudad del Este.
You can just walk across the bridge and enter either country, without going through customs or showing anyone your passport. Allegedly, travelers are supposed to check-in if they’re staying on either side for more than 24 hours. But I highly doubt the Paraguayan authorities have the power to enforce this.
Walking into a country with no customs check or immigration process is a pretty cool experience.
And Paraguay might be the only country where you can do this.
At least to my knowledge.
