$5 Ethereum?

There are over 6,000 different cyrpto currencies, many of which have no function. Despite this, a lot of these worthless assets are hyped up as “Hot, Cheap, Alt Coins.”

In today’s article, I want to show you an actual way that you can gain quality crypto exposure for about $5. This isn’t an alt coin or buying fractional amounts of an established asset either. Instead, we’re looking at the obscure asset management firm, U.S. Global Investors ($GROW).

U.S. Global Investors is not a household name.

This is a small cap business that never seems to get much mainstream attention. Yet the company has been around since 1968. And, the firm has made several “Hidden Gem” and value stock lists within the investing community.

In fact, I first heard of U.S. Global Investors while listening to Chris Mayer’s fantastic book World Right Side Up.

The company’s traditional business model is pretty straightforward.

U.S. Global Investors runs eight mutual funds and two ETFs: GOAU (precious metal miners) and JETS (airline stocks).

Basically, they run these funds and collect a management fee. Nothing new, and the mutual fund industry is in decline. But here’s where things get interesting…

The firm reinvests its earnings into other businesses.
